J ohn M. Stygar joined Stygar Family Funeral Home in 1951 and assumed the role of president in 1965. Prior to joining the firm, he served in the United States Air Force during World War II and attended Creighton and St. Louis Universities, graduating with a degree in business administration. He was active in the Missouri Funeral Directors Association and Funeral Directors of Greater St. Louis. He was also a member of Kiwanis and the North County Chamber of Commerce.
John passed away in 2009 with his family at his side.

John " Steven" served in the United States Army for several years before returning to St. Louis and joining the firm in 1977 as vice president, Steven is the Stygar Florissant Chapel Facility Manager. He has served as a committee member of the Missouri Funeral Directors Association. a funeral director advisor to the St. Louis Chapter of the Compassionate Friends and a presenter to grief caregivers at community groups throughout the St. Louis area. Active in numerous community organizations he has served as a member of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce (Formerly the Florissant Valley Chamber of Commerce), on their Board of Directors for 10 years, as a past president and their Business Person of the year 2003. He has been a member of the Florissant Rotary club where he served on numerous committees and as Treasurer. He is and currently is a member of the Alton Eagles, Florissant Elks, North County Chamber of Commerce and is a lifetime member of the Florissant Valley Jaycees.

Jeffrey G. Stygar graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City. He joined the firm in 1979 as Secretary/Treasurer. He is currently the facility manager of Stygar Mid Rivers Funeral Home and Crematory. Jeffrey is active in the Northside and Mid Rivers Optimists, Florissant Elks and Alton Eagles.
